Recover Facebook account with trusted contacts

Here’s how to change your Facebook password with the help of your friends:

1. Go to www.facebook.com and click ‘Forgot Password?’

2. Enter your email address or phone number to search for the Facebook account you want to recover; click ‘Search’.

3. You will see several options to reset your password i.e. using your phone number or email; click ‘No longer have access to this?’

4. On the next page, simply enter a new email address or phone number that you can access to receive account recovery notifications, press ‘Continue’ to continue.

5. On the next page, you will be given the option to ask your trusted contacts for help; click ‘Discover my trusted contacts’

6. Enter the name of one of your trusted contacts to continue, click ‘Confirm’.

7. All your trusted contacts will be revealed, you just need to contact them all directly and ask them to go to www.facebook.com/recover link and ask them to give you the code they receive; you have to enter all the codes in the given space then click ‘Continue’.

8. Finally, you will be able to set a new password for your Facebook account.
