Rock-hard butter b’gone! This sprayer transforms a stick into mist in seconds (Update)

Love the convenience of spray butter, but hate all the fake compounds and chemical propellants found in spray products? If so, we have good news for you. A new kitchen appliance is in the works that gives you the best of both worlds, allowing you to enjoy the convenience of spreadable butter without compromising flavor.

Introducing the biēm Butter Sprayer, the first butter sprayer that turns a piece of real butter into a liquid spray in just seconds. To use the atomizer, insert a piece of butter (of your choice) into the top of the device. While holding the sprayer by the silicone handle, aim at the desired food or item in a steady motion and in just a few seconds, the butter turns into a spray thanks to the heat and air. Biēm melts butter at just 95 degrees without overheating.

This butter spreader also has an accelerometer that detects when the user has picked up the device, making it easy to turn the device on and off. Biēm is designed with a special patent-pending spout to prevent clogging, allowing for proper portion control while cutting approximately half of the calories normally consumed. Since the user can insert any type of butter, this eliminates the worry of consuming butter with artificial ingredients or chemicals.

“Although there are other products on the market that claim to be butter sprays, none of them use real butter. They all use artificial or flavored oils and are usually full of other artificial ingredients. Not to mention dangerous flammable fuels. Until now, there’s never been a way to take a solid stick of real butter and turn it into a handheld spray in seconds, period,” creator Doug Foreman told PR Newswire.

The possibilities for using biēm are endless, from steamed vegetables to unsoaked buttered popcorn. Users can also use other alternatives to butter, such as coconut oil or olive oil. Biēm, which recently performed at aquarium for sharksshipping begins November 30 and is $129.
