Rotimi And Vanessa Mdee Are Expecting Their Second Child

Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee are expecting their second child. While speaking to People, the couple confirmed the news, saying:

“We are delighted to announce the arrival of our newborn daughter.” What a beautiful proof of God’s goodness. We are overjoyed.”

Photos released by People show the couple revealing they are having a baby girl as Rotimi opens an umbrella, causing pink confetti to fall on them. They already have a son, Seven, who was born last September. Rotimi and Vanessa revealed the baby’s name and posted a close-up photo of him on their Instagram profiles. Rotimi shared the news on Instagram, writing: “I feel blessed.”

The couple also told People about the birth of their first child, saying they were delighted to meet their son. They noted that everything about the experience was a new challenge for them as first-time parents and they enjoyed it. The couple met at a party after the Essence Festival in New Orleans and have been together ever since. They plan to get married in Atlanta in December 2020.

Vanessa Mdee (34) is a singer, rapper, television personality and presenter. In 2007, she auditioned for MTV VJ Search, and in 2008, along with Carol and Kule, she hosted the Coca-Cola Chart Express. She was the first Tanzanian VJ on MTV. She continues to present shows in Tanzania and outside Africa. Vanessa Mdee hosted Senses, Sounds, and Wisdom with Zantela at Sauti Za Busara in 2009. She hosted the MTV Africa Music Awards red carpet event for three years before becoming the host of The Hitlist on 102.5.
