Salley Carson was born to father David Brian Carson and mother Charlotte Smith White.
Not much is known about his father, but his mother graduated from Gaston Day High School. For her college education, Charlotte attended the University of South Carolina – Columbia, where she studied mathematics and marketing. Charlotte previously worked as a math teacher in Greenville County Schools. She later taught math at Wade Hampton High School and is now retired.

Salley had three older triplet sisters; Charlotte Bess Carson, Cynthia Clair Carson, and Elizabeth Brian Carson, who were born on June 5, 1992. However, her grandmother Barbara Bess Carson’s obituary states that Elizabeth Brian Caron is deceased.
Speaking of her sisters, Cynthia Clair Carson married Kyle Smith. The family currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina. She attended JL Mann High School and also the University of South Carolina-Columbia. She works at C Dan Joyner Property Management.
Charlotte, on the other hand, lives in Enterprise, Alabama. She married her husband, Will Cox, on July 1, 2017. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and previously worked as a kindergarten teacher at Sterling School.
