The third season of HBO We’re Here is out in less than a week. The legendary Emmy-winning series will be hosted by Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara and Shangela. The three queens will visit small towns in hopes of increasing acceptance and awareness of the LGBTQ+ community. DJ Shangela Pierce is an actress and drag performer in addition to hosting the show We’re Here. It is known for its pronunciation “Halleloo”. Shangela has been on a number of live drag shows that combine flawless performances with humorous aspects.
According to the official We’re Here synopsis, the queens will recruit a “diverse group” of locals from Texas, Utah, Florida, Mississippi and New Jersey. As part of a “one-night drag show,” these individuals will tell their stories to raise awareness and encourage acceptance in their communities.
