Sharon Smith Bio, Mike Leach Wife, Age, Job, Who Is She?

Sharon Smith is very concerned! Her husband Mike Leach, with whom she spent more than 3 decades, is now in “critical” condition at the hospital.

So while we wait for the much-needed miracle to happen, let’s learn all about Mike Leach’s wife in the sequel to Sharon Smith’s biography.

Meet Sharon Smith, wife of Mike Leach

Sharon Smith met Mike Leach while they were attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. It seems that Sharon’s sister was married to one of Mike’s old roommates and the two met after that.

So yeah, they were friends for a while before they got engaged.

Reminiscing about the old days, Mike said that he used to visit Sharon’s house at the King Henry Apartments to watch TV with her and her roommates. Sharon’s favorite show at the time was MASH, while Mike preferred Gunsmoke. Joking on the subject, Mike added: “It’s almost sacrilegious to all things American and I tried to get them back on track, which I think I did. Sharon was a bit of a difficult case, so I had to marry her off so I could check on her more often.”

As for their first date, Mike took Sharon to an A&W restaurant in Provo after a rugby game. And amazingly, she pulled out a 2 for 1 coupon book and said “here’s the menu”. Well, even though it was a risky move, the gamble apparently paid off.

Sharon even joked that their first date wasn’t pre-planned and only happened because Mike was hungry. “He probably had two-for-one coupons and I was free,” she explained.

Fast forward to the mid-’80s, the duo tied the knot in a wedding ceremony officiated by Sharon. Recalling his memories of planning, Mike joked that “women lose their minds” when it comes to wedding planning and that it’s impossible for a groom to give a “real answer” to anything. He even advised grooms to mostly stay out of planning and “as far away from danger as possible.”
