A CRUEL mother has been convicted of starving her son to death after following her depraved husband’s beliefs that the child should “live on sunlight” instead of food.
Newborn Kosmos died of pneumonia and emaciation after Oxana Mironova (33) and her husband Maxim Lyutyi (43) did not properly feed the newborn.

Oxana pleaded guilty and repented for the death of her son, who was not even a month old, said the spokesman of the court in Armavir, Russia.
She was sentenced to two years of “remedial labor” after being convicted of child neglect and failure to fulfill her maternal duties, leading to Kosmos’s horrific death.
Raw food blogger Maxim is facing a separate trial after being accused of torturing his newborn.
Lifestyle coach Maxim allegedly wanted to raise the newborn on prana-eating – a diet in which people go without food and water for long periods of time and “feed on the sun”.
He is accused of forbidding Mironova to breastfeed a child who desperately needed food.
Oxana’s mother, Galina, accused him of leading a “sect” and said: “He wanted to experiment on a child, feed it with pure sunlight, and then advertise to others that it can be eaten that way.
“I was against my daughter being in this sect. I felt everything and told her that Maxim is crazy, but she didn’t listen to me.
“Oxana lived there like a guinea pig. Every time she became colder towards me… She was his slave.”
In the remand prison, Maxim allegedly eats meat, and his favorite dish is pasta with stew.
The video shows him in court earlier this year detained on suspicion of torturing children.
Another relative of Mironiva said: “Oxana told me that she is afraid of him.” She wanted to leave him many times, but he held her back…
“He wanted to raise [his son into] a man who eats only the sun.”
Oxana’s cousin Olesya Nikolayeva said: “He forced her not to feed the baby. Her boyfriend believed that the sun fed the baby.
“Oxana secretly tried to breastfeed the baby, but she was very afraid of Maxim. How is it possible to feed a baby with sunlight?”
The worried father even gave birth to his child at home, refusing to let Oxana go to the hospital.
In the end, they decided to take the weak child to the doctors, but it was too late and the baby died on the way.
