Even after getting through all of that, you’re not done. As stated on Niantic’s website (and reiterated in the cancellation confirmation email), “account removal requests currently take several weeks to review and process.” I personally canceled my account almost two weeks ago to start over and I can still access it.
You may be wondering, “Why don’t you open a new account?” As you have probably noticed, pokemon go the servers did not handle the large influx of players as well. You can use a different email address, but it’s very likely that you’ll hit a wall in the form of an error message when creating a new Pokémon Club trainer account. We continue to run into such hurdles just starting the process, and even when we get past it, we get various messages blocking progress.
As of now, you cannot create multiple profiles in one account, so if you want to use the same Club Trainer account, you will need to do the above steps and wait.
