In order to better “take into account the dimension of sectarian Islamism”, the Commission advocates the renewal of the inter-ministerial mission of vigilance and fight against sectarian deviations (Miviludes), transferred last December under the sole responsibility of the Ministry of the Interior. It also calls for strengthening the network state to better detect behaviors or “deviant” discourses, building intelligence, territorial and religious police, and better training elected representatives and local officials to detect them.
