Famed YouTuber Steph Pappas’ father, John Pappas, tragically passed away on Sunday around 11 p.m. in Jackson Township, Ohio. According to reports from ATM, John was killed by a drunk driver in Ohio in an accident. At the time of the accident, John was with his wife, Kristine Pappas, who was also injured. In addition, his family dog, Cookie, also died in the accident.
According to local authorities, a westbound driver crashed into the Pappas’ car in the adjacent lane, injuring both parents. The driver hit Pappas’ car from the side, resulting in his collision. John succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene, but Kristine was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment at Mercy Medical Center. At the time of her writing, nothing is known about her current state of health.

She turns to her fans and says that before announcing this, the news of her father’s accident was going around. Steph wanted to say something because her dad was featured prominently on her YouTube channel and was her “best friend to her and the best dad anyone could ask for.”
Their parents approached them. She said they had dinner together, watched YouTube videos and booked tickets to a movie they wanted to see. Two minutes after they left, she received a call from her mother about the accident and the death of her father.
According to Steph, John’s last words to his wife were “Oh my God! What is this guy doing?” She said the guy had been drinking and doing drugs, but findings are pending. The drunk driver was fine. Police say a 27-year-old North Canton man was driving a 2014 Chevy Silverado in heading west when it turned left of the center line and struck a 2017 Toyota.
Steph said she feels broken and confused and wonders “why did this happen to my family?”
