In DC’s new preview titans united, Connor Kent’s Superboy returns to Earth with restored powers and a brand new suit. However, this is only because he seems to have been brainwashed into killing his fellow Titans.From the team at HBO Max titan In the latest installment of the series, it looks like the heroes will be teaming up with Starfire’s sister Blackfire to fight against the Kryptonian clones.
In previous issues titans united, Superboy’s powers consistently failed him, causing him to be largely marginalized. Meanwhile, the rest of the Titans have been uncovering a secret conspiracy and a vast conspiracy involving dormant metahumans who could be activated at a moment’s notice. Additionally, Starfire’s dark sister, Blackfire, was openly involved, kidnapping an irresistible Connor so that he no longer had the powers that a Superman clone would normally have.
Now, new preview Titan United #5 Writer Cavan Scott and artist Jonas Trindade revealed that Connor will be experimented on by Blackfyre, seemingly restoring and possibly even increasing his powers. He also wears a new armored suit while calling himself “Black Zero”, having transformed into a new agent of the Black Fire while fighting the other Titans during the Black Fire’s invasion of Earth. Titans United #5 – Black Zero Attacks! When the Tamaranian army invades Earth, Superboy attacks the Titans. When Donna Troy falls into the hands of Connor’s newly restored powers, Raven desperately tries to contact the friends and allies they once knew.
Now that Connor has become Blackfyre’s newest champion and has his powers restored, it looks like he was manipulated into killing her former teammate. However, he probably wouldn’t need much encouragement to take down Jason Todd’s Red Hood, who he really didn’t like before being kidnapped. Regardless, Connor will certainly be the Titans’ next biggest threat until they face Blackfire.
See how this series mimics the team’s roster on HBO Max titanIt’s interesting to see Superboy and Blackfire so closely connected as they were in the latest season of the live-action series. So maybe Superboy isn’t as brainwashed as his former team thought and truly wants to serve her? Fans will have to wait and see when the full version is released. titans united Published January 11th.
