Movie Super Mario Bros. fulfilled many fans’ dreams of seeing their favorite video game characters battle it out on the big screen. With heavy hitters like Donkey Kong and Bowser clashing with Mario and Peach, the film treated viewers to an animated brawl worthy of Super Smash Bros. And so, people can now read the ranking list of the most powerful characters in the Movie Super Mario Bros.
7. toad

While Toad may be the weakest member of the main cast, he never got much time to show off his skills as a fighter in this film. Luckily for him, he finds his way around the Mushroom Kingdom and can certainly fend for himself in the wild as Mario encounters him wandering the mushroom fields. And despite his small size, Toad never gives up a fight, choosing to defend Peach and his friends at every opportunity.
6. Luigi

As Mario’s fearsome brother, Luigi isn’t as strong when it comes to fending off enemies. Despite this, he escapes from the Dry Bones group when he is alone in the Dark Lands, but this is before he is captured by a team of Shy Guys.
He spends most of the film trapped in a cage, but when the final battle comes, he jumps in to protect his brother from Bowser’s fire breath and helps him defeat the Koopa King once and for all, proving that they are both at their strongest when together.
5. Mario

Although he is the main protagonist of this movie, Mario joins Peach on her adventure, inexperienced in the Mushroom Kingdom. He may be nimble, as shown by his way through a construction site in Brooklyn.
However, Mario requires a lot of training and the power of some red mushrooms to prove that he can accompany the princess on her journey. Mario may not be that powerful on his own, but with the right resources, he can hold his own against Bowser and Donkey Kong in the ring.
4. Peach

After being adopted by the Toads after ending up in the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach grew up training herself to protect her people and improved her skills, making her one of the strongest leaders in the world. She completed the obstacle course in her castle without breaking a sweat and claims to have completed it in very few attempts. This proves that she could have reached the Jungle Kingdom on her own.
Although she surrendered herself to Bowser to save Toad, she was still willing to face him in battle, showing her unwavering courage against overwhelming odds. Luckily, she caught him off guard at their wedding to the Ice Flower, trapping him in a giant block of ice, showing that she could outsmart even the strongest enemy.
3. Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong is clearly superior to Mario and Peach in terms of brute strength. The red-tie primate easily beat Mario senseless during their gladiator fight in the Jungle Kingdom, and the only reason Mario beat Kong was because he was empowered by his cat suit.
And when he swings the power of the Fire Flower, he and Mario are able to fight their way through Bowser’s army in the third act of the movie. His ego may weigh him down, but no one should mess with this macho monkey.
2. Kamek

As Bowser’s right-hand man, Kamek has access to powerful magic that he uses against his master’s enemies. He overpowers King Penguin’s armies with his magic, and he could crush Toad into a mushroom paste with his telekinesis. But even with his mastery of the mystical arts, Kamek conveyed extreme fear in Bowser’s face, implying that the latter was more powerful than him.
1. Bowser

King Koopa has earned a reputation as the most feared turtle in his world. He ravaged the Penguin King’s ice castle with his fiery breath and broke free after being encased in ice by Peach. It can even withstand the combined efforts of Mario, Peach and Donkey Kong during their final battle in Brooklyn. And with an entire army of Koopas, Goombas, and so many other deadly enemies, the Mushroom and Jungle Kingdoms could hardly face them alone.
But as many games have proven before, Bowser can be defeated. Mario and Luigi easily dominated Bowser in battle after harnessing the power of the Super Star, thrashing him around until he could no longer stand up. Even his army couldn’t slow down Super Mario Bros. in their invincible state. He may be defeated and locked away, but Bowser remains the greatest threat to the Mushroom Kingdom.
