The best Activision games of all time

While most people may only associate Activision with the Call of Duty franchise, the developer-turned-publishing giant has a much more diverse and far-reaching history than the wildly popular first-person shooter franchise that dominates sales year after year. The Activision name has been around almost as long as home console gaming, and was actually the first third-party studio to ever exist in the gaming industry. If you go back to the old Atari consoles, you’ll find his name on plenty of old and crunchy titles. Over the decades, this company has gone through many changes, taken over new studios and grown into one of the most successful companies in all of gaming.

With such a rich history through decades of gaming as a publisher, Activision has brought us hundreds of excellent titles. Sure, it’s been a little one-sided lately with how many Call of Duty games it’s been making compared to everything else, but it’s worth remembering all the variety it once gave us and hoping that Activision might branch out again in the future. The one thing that doesn’t change is the fact that Activision knows how to release great games, and we’ve revisited its catalog to share the best Activision games of all time. This list will not include any Blizzard games even though the two companies fall under the same roof, and we will also limit one game per series to reduce repeat Call of Duty games.
