Actor Donnie Yen, whom the audience may remember Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, dominated this film as Caine, the blind assassin hired by the Marquis de Gramont to kill John. Despite lacking the ability to see, Caine presented himself as a terrifying and almost superhuman fighter on par with Daredevil.

In one scene, Caine deploys motion sensor devices that detect and alert him of any approaching enemies. These devices allow him to take down several assassins who try to sneak up on him from afar. They even help him take down the attacker who is right next to him. While Caine has his limitations, he still proves capable of killing his opponents with the resources at his disposal.

She commits a particularly brutal murder as she repeatedly stabs a man in the back as he crawls up the staircase. He tries to escape her, but she rides his back all the way to the top, digging her blades into him until he finally collapses. And John thinks he had a hard time with the stairs in this movie.

To regain his membership in the Russian Roma crime family and fight the marquis, John sets out to assassinate Kill, the gold-toothed head of the German high table. While he may not seem like a good fighter, Killa surprisingly gives John a run for his money thanks to his extreme strength and agility.

But after slitting his throat with a playing card, shooting him in the backside, smashing his face and throwing an ax into his backside, John finally sent him tumbling over the banister and into the stairwell. Killa is finally killed, making for one of the most brutal and draining John Wick kills ever.

The film reaches its climax when John fights with Caine for his freedom at Sacré-Cœur. In a scene that looks like a mix Barry Lyndon and The good, the bad and the uglyJohn and Caine, who is fighting for Marquis, take their positions and shoot each other with pistols.

When John is shot and bleeds to death, the Marquis takes Caine’s gun so he can kill John himself. But due to his arrogance, the marquis does not notice that John never fired his gun, giving the latter the opportunity to kill his enemy and finally free himself from the Table.

3. Dojo drum kill

When Marquis assassins attack the Osaka Continental looking for John, he ends up fighting his way through countless enemies in the hotel’s neon-lit dojo. While there are many outstanding kills in this sequence, the one that stands out the most is when John shoots the assassin against the giant white drum.

The way the blood sprays from the henchman’s head onto the drum makes it look like a dripping Jackson Pollock painting, further cementing the idea that John Wick is creating pure art with each of his fight scenes.

2. Mr. Nobody’s Payback

At one point in the film, John fights an assassin known as Mr. Nobody, who travels with a dog to help him fight. Although John has the chance to kill Mr. Nobody, he sees his dog about to shoot Chidi and decides to save him, as John knows well the pain of losing a pet.

John’s act of kindness pays off later when Mr. Nobody saves him from Chidi while trying to reach the Sacré-Cœur. And as additional revenge, Mr. Nobody throws his dog at Chidi’s body before putting a bullet in his skull. In case everyone has forgotten, never mess with a man and his dog.

If John Wick’s gun-fu wasn’t cool or deadly enough, this movie takes it to the next level by having him use a shotgun that literally shoots fire, hence its name, “Dragon’s Breath.” One particular kill cannot be singled out as John wields this extraordinary new weapon.

There’s an entire one-shot sequence where John unleashes Dragon’s Breath on a whole horde of assassins, setting them on fire all while the camera looks down on everything like a classic The Legend of Zelda game. The scene even uses a dubstep song from the iconic nightclub shootout in the first film, which only illuminates how much the franchise has evolved over the years.
