When Nikita AVT was first introduced in 2022, it wasn’t a popular choice. It was never bad, but other weapons surpassed it in more ways than one. After a series of updates that upset some of the best assault rifles in the game, the Nikita AVT finally gets a chance to shine, especially since it received some upgrades of its own during Season 4. While this weapon still doesn’t compete against the likes from Cooper Carbine or KG M40 at long range, they stand out on smaller maps like Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep.
The main drawback is that the Nikita AVT works decently at range, but since it has a high rate of fire of around 950rpm and lower damage per target, you’ll want to use this weapon at medium range for best results. In Cladera, you’ll find yourself burning through ammo completely during those long-range fights, so you’ll probably have a better time on the smaller maps. That’s not to say you can’t use the Nikita AVT on Caldera, but if you do, you’ll want to build it as a sniper support weapon, not a long-range rifle.

For this build, we want to maximize bullet velocity and recoil control as much as possible, allowing the weapon to perform superiorly from afar. Remember, this build is more for Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep than it is for Caldera.
Start with the MX Barrel Suppressor for increased range, improved vertical recoil control, less horizontal recoil, and increased bullet velocity, all while keeping you suppressed. Then get the 613mm BFA Empress gun, which gives you better recoil control, increased damage range, and a significantly higher bullet velocity. This attachment is crucial when building ranged weapons.
Follow it with the optics of your choice. On PC we recommend the SVT-40 Scope 3-6x, but on console you should use the G16 2.5x. This is due to the ability to adjust the FOV slider on PC, but not on console. For the stock, we recommend using the Empress Notch for generally improved recoil control. After that, it is recommended to use the M1930 Strife Angled Underbarrel, which reduces the horizontal recoil of the weapon. There are plenty of great Underbarrels out there, so be sure to adjust them as needed.
When it comes to the type of magazine, things get a bit complicated because of the pros and cons that come with each one. In general, we recommend the 7.62x54mmR 50 round magazine because it does not reduce the velocity of the bullet. However, you can also try the 6.5 Sakura 60 Round Drum for increased magazine size, but at the expense of slower bullet speed.
Speaking of which, we suggest using an extended ammo type for an even higher bullet speed. Since this is a build designed for distance, it is best to use a rear grip that improves recoil control. For this we recommend the Polymer Grip, which improves accuracy and recoil during continuous fire.
For Perk slot 1, we recommend Perfectionist to improve recoil control, but at the expense of more recoil. Finally, for Perk 2, go with On-Hand, which gives you a bit more Aim Speed (ADS).
