After analysis, according to the researchers, it is simply a matter of Axel de Fersen. “By conducting inter-comparisons, they then found out that it was possible to find, for each ink of redaction, its equivalent in respect of the composition of the thirteen pigments used by Fersen. And so that, in all likelihood, it would have to be the author of these erasures, applied shortly after receipt, transcript or writing these letters,” says The World.
Other evidence : researchers have spotted a passage where the two words, with a writing closer to that of Axel de Fersen, had been added to the original text with the pen used to remove the text. The noble Swedish appears as well as the censor, probably for fear of being arrested and to avoid compromising the queen.
