So when a thief broke into someone’s home and stole a memory card containing pictures of the last day of their dog’s life, the unnamed pet owner was devastated.
In an attempt to recover the images, the owner posted a letter asking the anonymous thief to return the memory card.

In an attempt to recover the images, the owner posted a letter asking the anonymous thief to return the memory card.
The message, affixed to a lamp post in Toronto, Canada, even says that thieves can keep all the other things they’ve taken – they just want to get back the important memories of the dog. mine.
The message read: “To the man who entered my house and robbed me. Keep cash, my DSLR, and whatever else you took. But if you have a memory card from your camera, please, it has my dog’s last day photo on it. I cannot replace those photos. Please drop it on the porch or put it in the mail slot. Or send it by post. I pray. She died a few days ago. I can’t lose those pictures either.”
Honestly, if this doesn’t make you cry, then you could be in serious trouble because this is absolutely heartbreaking!
Of course, the internet was filled with mourning for the person who wrote the letter, and as a result, the message went viral as people shared it in the hope of winning over the robber.
That includes one Facebook user, Saoirse Morgan, who captioned the image, “Picture taken at Bloor and Lansdowne. This is so sad. I hope this person is doing the right thing.”
Saoirse’s post alone has been shared by more than 27,000 people, with many commenting with messages of support – and that number is growing.
Losing a pet is one of the hardest things in life, so losing even the only photos of them is just the cherry on a very, very goddamn ice cream.
We can only hope and pray that a criminal will see this somewhere on social media and do the right thing.
So thief, if you’re reading this, reset your memory card as I’m pretty sure that if you don’t, you’ll run into some karma.
