Meet N’Dia Givens, Voice D Smooth’s girlfriend
Vote star D Smooth, whose real name is David Mitchell, revealed on his Facebook that he is in a relationship. According to our investigation, his girlfriend’s name is N’Dia Givens. They were friends for a long time before they started dating.

D came to Montgomery in 2016 while attending Faulkner University. “I don’t have family here, but we do have connections in Montgomery,” D Smooth said. “My mom went to the state of Alabama and I have a bunch of family members who went to the state of Alabama.”
He started playing music at the age of 18. She didn’t go “without problems,” she admits. After a year and a half at Faulkner, D.Smooth returned to Birmingham to work for a while. But Montgomery called it home in 2019.
D Smooth nearly found himself in the national spotlight in 2021. He was chosen to participate in the blind auditions for “The Voice” for that season. “That was the first time I ever got on a plane, to be honest, let alone go to California,” he said. “I’m grateful to have experienced everything that came with it. It was the last day to go and the teams filled up before it was my turn, so I couldn’t go to the audition.”
“Music then became my wife,” said D Smooth. “At first it was like my girlfriend, or my sidekick. But she became my wife and I’m treating her now.”
D Smooth is one of four artists for the tiebreaker, which began on May 1.
