This crazy inventor just built — and tried out — a huge 360-degree swing in his yard

Bonkers British inventor Colin Furze has just emerged from his workshop with another hair-raising invention, and this one is as absurd as it is stunning.

It’s a kind of swing. But you probably wouldn’t want your child driving.

You see, the Furze swing doesn’t stop at the usual back-and-forth motions we see in most garden swings. Instead, it goes all the way around. Oh yeah, and it’s as tall as his house.

At the start of the video (above) introducing his latest crazy creation, Furze tells us he has motion sickness, doesn’t like heights and doesn’t like going upside down. Which makes this invention even more surprising.

Billed as “the UK’s only 360-degree swing”, the video shows Furze climbing the structure as he chooses to ignore the patently absurd idea of using a harness or seatbelt to ensure he doesn’t die on the ride.

And he drives it. After some back and forth, Furze swings all the way, holding his center arm with her knees “for extra hold.”

In another video, explaining how he made the swing, the British man admits that the project “is not without its problems.”

For example, at one point the entire setup buckled under the stress, “making the whole thing look like a future killing machine, but we went ahead and think we’ve got something that won’t break.” Last we heard, Furze was still alive.

The plumber-turned-inventor has made quite a name for himself since joining YouTube 10 years ago. It’s not hard to see why his videos have been viewed more than 336 million times, his wild imagination, wild creations and irrepressible enthusiasm displayed in smoothly edited, wonderfully entertaining productions.

If you’re new to the world of Furze, take a few moments to check out his gun-toting tuk-tuk, twin-propeller hoverbike, and termite cannon. Oh, and you should watch him walk on the ceiling wearing magnetic boots.

Guinness World Records so far include the fastest pram, the longest motorcycle and the fastest toilet. I guess his plumbing skills came in handy.
