FC Bayern München II lifted the title for the second time in five days on Monday evening (May 6). After winning the Premier League International Cup last Thursday (May 2nd) evening against Dinamo Zagreb, coach Holger Seitz’s team is grabbing the next trophy. Due to the superior goal difference, the reserve Säbener Strasse in unterfr a points, to secure the championship in the Bavarian top amateur class.
Coach Holger Seitz is optimistic ahead of the match at the Willy-Sachs-Stadion: “We want to provide a good game. I expect us to perform with the same passion and enthusiasm as we did in the last games,” the 44-year-old told FC Bayern’s website.
Welzmüller until the end of the season
One bit of bad news for Seitz and his players to digest before the next success. Host Maximilian Welzmüller injured his right ankle. The 29-year-old midfielder is out for the rest of the season with an internal ligament injury, and relegation due to missed games in the 3rd league on May 22 and 26 – expected against VfL Wolfsburg II.
“I will provide their full support to the edge of the field and to the cabin crew,” announces the group leader. “I have absolute confidence in our team and the team drum that we will achieve our big goal. Something very big is possible this season.”
