TikTokers have recently seen the spread of an age filter that gives people an idea of what they will look like when they are older. However, using the filter to create a video that you can upload to TikTok is easy as long as you’re okay with downloading another app to your phone and spending some time on the extra steps that are required.

How to make a TikTok filter for your age
The app that TikTokers use for age filtering is called FaceApp: Face Editor and it is available on iOS and Android. To use the filter, you’ll need to make sure you’ve downloaded FaceApp on your device. Once you’ve downloaded it, you’re ready to go.
Step 1: Open faceapp If this is your first time opening the app, a pop-up window will appear asking you to purchase a “Pro” subscription for it. Fortunately, this is not necessary to use the age filter.
Step 2 – Select a photo from the list of images FaceApp has collected from your photo gallery, capture it using the camera button at the bottom of the screen, or manually browse the captured photos on your phone by selecting Gallery.
Step 3 – With your photo selected, you will be prompted to select the face you want to apply the age filter to. If there is more than one face in the image, you will have to select and change them one by one. Select the face you want to change.
Step 4: There are several different face swaps you can do using the app, but to perform an age filter, select Age option at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5 – Once you have done this, you will be given a few different years to choose from. choose any cool uncle either Old. Once you set an age filter on your image, you will be able to post it on TikTok and trend. That is how:
Step 1: Open the TikTok app and then search cap cutthe name of the template that people use to trend.
Step 2 – Select the video that uses the template, then select the text that says try this template above the TikTok description. When you do, you’ll see a screen that gives you a description of the effect. choose Use the template in CapCut.
Step 3 – To use the CapCut features on TikTok, you will need to download the CapCut app, which you should be redirected to when you select Use the template in CapCut.
Step 4 – Once CapCut is installed, go back to TikTok and go back to the video you used earlier to download the CapCut app. choose try this template and Use the template in CapCut one more time. From here you will be redirected to the CapCut application. choose use a template in the lower right corner.
Step 5: Once done, select Photos at the top of the page, then select the age filter image you created with FaceApp. Next, select the original, unaltered image you started with. choose Review in the lower right corner when selecting both images.
Step 6 – Once you are ok with the preview, select Export in the top right corner, then tap Export without watermarkwhich will take you back to TikTok.
Step 7 – Add any remaining details you want for your video, such as music, descriptions, tags, or locations. choose Fast and the video will be live on your profile.
