Tommy Rouse has been working with Veronica Valencia for a long time.
“We are such a cooperative group. I value their friendship as much as their knowledge and expertise. They simply make all the projects I work on that much better and mean everything to me. I honestly wouldn’t be anything without them,” Veronica said of Tommy and the rest of her crew.
So when she had the idea of incorporating her clients’ family history and heritage into designing her home for them and turning the process into a performance, she had to bring Tommy along.
Likewise, Tommy is more than happy to be a part of the show. “I’m glad to be part of such a special project with one of my best friends @veronicavalencia,” he wrote on IG. “The designs from this show are going to be epic and I hope you love watching it as much as we love creating it.”
In the series, Tommy and the cast dig deep to uncover each family’s unique history and imbue the spaces in their home with techniques, materials and heirlooms that reflect the family’s culture. “Designs become living history when designer Veronica Valencia dives into her clients’ family heritage for inspiration for renovations,” reads the exhibition’s official synopsis.
Tommy and Veronica have worked together on more than 500 renovations across the country. “We’ve designed more TVs than I can count, so this magical show has been a long time coming,” said Tommy.
To name a few of their work, the team has offered their services to networks such as ABC, OWN, FOX, NBC and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. Their work has also been featured in My Domaine, Remodelista, The New York Times, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, Lucky Magazine and more.

Overall, Joshua seemed to be more vocal about their love than Tommy.

Also, he once said that Tommy is the best designer he knows. Joshua greatly appreciated his guidance, leadership, attention to detail and constant hard work and desire to succeed. “But more than that, the way Tommy leads, instilling in each of us the importance of community wherever we go,” added Joshua.
