“From today, the iconic Premier Padmini Taxi is disappearing from the roads of Mumbai. They were strumming, uncomfortable, unreliable, noisy. There is no large capacity for luggage either. But for people my age, they carried tons of memories. And they did their job of getting us from point A to point B. Goodbye and goodbye, kaali-peeli taxis. Thank you for a great time,” wrote Anand Mahindra on Xu, along with a picture of a taxi.
