Due to the way studios have scheduled their movies, it’s safe to say that the movie will most likely be released. Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness be Top Gun: Maverick. Because? Because this is a continuation of the original. top gun, which helped establish Tom Cruise as an action hero in 1986. Of course, Cruise will reprise his role in the movie that shares his character’s name. However, Maverick will continue to be surrounded by a new generation of drivers. And Paramount Pictures is giving each of those characters their own posters ahead of the movie.
The first is Maverick himself. Played by Cruise, his real name is Captain Pete Mitchell, and he is still a flight instructor and test pilot, refusing promotion for almost thirty years.
Maverick is personally involved with Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller). Rooster’s father was Maverick’s best friend, Nick “Goose” Bradshaw. The goose was killed in the original movie and the Rooster never forgave Maverick.
Lt. Natasha “Phoenix” Trace (Monica Barbaro) is apparently the only female pilot on the Top Gun show. That’s a lot of pressure anyone can handle.
Former Crazy people star Jon Hamm also has a role in this film as a vice admiral nicknamed “Cyclone.”
Glen Powell will play Lt. “The Hangman” Seresin. Put on your shirt, brother!
Lieutenant Reuben “Payback” Fitch will be played by Jay Ellis.
Danny Ramirez’s character is a lieutenant with the unfortunate nickname: “Fanboy.” But he’s still a better call sign than the next member of the lineup.
We have to say, Bob, it’s not nice to have your name on a billboard next to other people’s cool nicknames. Lewis Pullman plays Lt. Bob Floyd in the movie.
See Bob? Even Greg’s character, Tarzan Davis, has a cool nickname. He is Lieutenant “Coyote”.
Top Gun: Maverick Directed by Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer and Christopher McQuarrie. It will hit theaters on May 27.
