On September 27, Noah went to X and said that “due to technical issues, he was forced to cancel both shows.” Soon after this tweet was shared, many people took to the microblogging platform to express their disappointment. Several others also tagged BookMyShow in tweets and blamed them for mismanagement. The company later apologized. Several others also joked about the situation.
Another said several people had to sell their tickets to the show because they were stuck in traffic and couldn’t get to the venue. However, for those who reached it, the show was cancelled.

Soon after, BookMyShow issued an apology to X. They wrote: “Bengaluru, we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused by Trevor Noah’s Off The Record performance at the Manpho Convention Center on September 27. Part of India tour in Bengaluru on September 27 and 28 . stands are cancelled. All customers who purchased tickets for both shows will receive a full refund within 8-10 business days. We are deeply sorry for this experience our valued customers faced and hope to be able to refund Trevor to this amazing city at the earliest.”
