Since singer Taylor Swift is dating NFL star Travis Kelce, her fan following has peaked in the United States. In the midst of Swift’s surreal popularity, an American man is in the news for introducing a rule to prevent his wife from raving about the singer.

Dana Rice, who is a realtor in the Bethseda, Maryland and Washington, DC area, took to Instagram to share the moment her husband made a “Taylor Swift jar.” If and when Rice mentions Swift or Kelce at home, she is required to pay a quarter ($0.25). The bottle was created after Swift and Kelce appeared on Saturday Night Live.
The jar reads, “Taylor Swift Jar – Any mention of T. Swift and you owe $0.25. I can’t take it anymore – including Travis Kelce.”
An Instagram video shared by Rice has gone viral with over 400k likes.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Rice noted that the success of Swift’s Eras tour really made her a fan of the singer. She shared that she was inspired by Swift’s success from a business woman’s point of view.
“I started seeing reports and things from other people and other industries talking about her from a business perspective — from a force of nature perspective when she started this tour,” Rice said.
“It just came into my consciousness and became something I wanted to explore because I’m a business person and I wanted to learn,” she added.

How the Taylor Swift jar came to be in Rice’s home
Rice shared that her fascination with Swift did not go down well with her husband, who tried to stop her from being so enamored with the singer. Rice’s husband made the jar in their kitchen.
“No fanfare, no announcement, I just came around the corner and asked him, ‘What are you doing?'” she recalled asking her husband as he created the jar.
“When I came around the corner, not only did he have a jar, but he had rolls of quarters, so he put the rolls of quarters and the jar on me,” Rice said.
