KILLERDRONE! Flying chainsaw
We’ve already seen weapons on drones, even flamethrowers, so it was really only a matter of time before someone went and attached a chainsaw.
The stuff of sweat-soaked nightmares, the terrifying “chainsaw drone” is apparently the work of a pair of “crazy” Finnish farmers.
In a recently released YouTube video, the two makers of the kit seem to want to lull us into a false sense of security with their unique device. There are smiles, there are laughs, there are even moving musical backgrounds.
The jovial atmosphere continues as the chainsaw is lifted off the ground and the two friends demonstrate a few reasonable uses for their special drone. For example, how about trimming branches from tall trees or sawing icicles hanging from buildings?
But wait a second—the words “killer drone” are scrawled along the chainsaw’s guide. And why this innocent-looking snowman? The terrifying truth will soon be revealed…
After apparently growing bored of using a chainsaw drone for what could be described as “sane” activities, the pair decide to turn the irrationality dial all the way to 11, destroying a group of harmless snowmen by approaching them at high speed and slicing them clean through their heads. It’s messy and shocking, but it can give a glimpse of the pure horror that awaits us when the robot apocalypse finally arrives.
However, when that day comes, the humble party balloon could save us from a terrible end. As the video shows, the drone is no match for those air-filled rubber bags, and the helicopter’s blades can’t turn after the burst balloon becomes entangled in its machinery. Just don’t be under him when he falls, that’s all.
Now, if a few Finns show up at the Darwin Awards soon, who’s to bet against chainsaws and drones being involved?
