An incredible video of the courtship dance of two great grebes has gone viral on social media. Since the video was shared on YouTube by the Bird Tings channel, it has blown people away.

The video was taken by 28-year-old Peter Martin, a self-employed photographer and nature lover in the Wilderness National Park by Lake Langvlei.
“It was incredibly rare for me. I’ve seen many crested grebes before, but this was my first time witnessing their courtship in person. I’ve seen videos of such displays and I’m always amazed, so this was extra special,” he said. Martin for Bird Tings.
He further added, “To witness such extraordinary moments, spend plenty of time in bird hides. Don’t rush the experience. Observe the behavior of birds and wildlife, enjoy every moment and be patient. Sometimes the unexpected can happen when you least expect it.”
A short video shows budgerigars engaging in a fascinating courtship dance. They can be seen making coordinated head movements as they spread their wings and inflate their beaks.
