In an interview with Business Insider, she said that at first she thought it was the culture of the hustle and bustle that was making her overworked and exhausted, but later realized that it was actually the pressure of Monday, which she would start expecting already on Sunday. She said: “Every week there would be ‘Sunday scares’ and every Monday I would sleep until the last second because I knew that list was waiting for me. The pressure I was putting on myself was paralyzing and I realized something had to change.” We all dread Monday so much that when it finally comes, we lose all our productivity because we spend most of our time waiting for work, so there is no mental space for productivity. The trend-starter appreciated this saying that after minimal hacking on Mondays, she increased her productivity. She said: “I allowed myself to do the bare minimum for work, and it was like magic came over me. I felt better. I wasn’t overwhelmed and I actually did more than I expected”.

The goal of this phase is to set a positive tone for the day and focus on personal well-being.

Creative work – Around 10 o’clock, switch to creative work. It should be work related to work, but specially chosen keeping in mind that it is something you enjoy and is creative in nature. This creative work takes about an hour. Lunch or a walk – After creative work, take a break for lunch or a walk. This break is probably meant to recharge and take a mental break from work. Focused work – After a break, get involved in the main work tasks. During this period, do not multitask, do not be distracted, and do not use your phone. This indicates a high level of focus and productivity during this time. If necessary, extend this focused work for an additional hour, limited to a maximum of three hours.
