What exactly is the Google Bard?

The platform opens with a welcome screen that displays multiple prompts at the top showing its capabilities.
Under the prompt, the welcome screen mentions “Meet Bard: your creative and helpful collaborator, here to spark your imagination, boost your productivity and turn your ideas into reality.”
Furthermore, it informs the user about Bard .’s abilities “Bard is a test and may give incorrect or inappropriate answers. You can help improve Bard by leaving feedback.”
After that, the AI chatbot will display a consent dialog saying “Bard is an experiment

Unlike ChatGPT, this platform does not display query history on the left panel. However, there is an option called “Bard’s Activity” redirects to the displayed instructions.
Bard allows you to control how your activity data is stored. You can choose to have your activity data automatically deleted after a certain period of time, or you can manually delete it at any time.
What is Bard doing?
The platform is based on Google’s large language model (LLM), LaMDA.
Bard previously worked on Google’s LaMDA language model, trained on a huge dataset of text and code.
However, it has now moved to a newer and more powerful language model. PaLM 2 can create texts, translate languages, write different types of creative content, and answer questions in an informative manner.
