Where to find the Golden Horse in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

IN The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Realm, Link has more ways than ever to travel the vast world of Hyrule. Not only can you run and slide, but you can even build your own moving contraptions. As cool as they are, they’re still limited by the amount of battery you have to charge them. Horses will always be your most reliable and safest way to travel around the country. Just like in the previous game, horses come in all types and with various stats that you can upgrade, but one stands out among the rest. We are not talking about Epona, but about the Golden Horse. You might think that a horse like this would be easy to find, but it is anything but. Here’s how you can tame the Golden Horse Tears of the kingdom.

The Golden Horse is linked to a side quest called “Potential Princess Sightings” given to you by Penn in the Lucky Clover Gazette. Once the quest is started, travel to the Snowfield Stable in the Tabantha Tundra to find Penn talking to a worker named Harlow again. Here you will learn about Zelda’s horse, the titular Golden Horse, who has escaped from the stables and you are tasked with finding him.

To start, start moving north of the stables past some ruins and enemies. Eventually you’ll come to a large open area with a herd of horses, including the Golden Horse. The best way to tame him is to sneak up on him like you would any other and prepare for a rough time by soothing him. This horse really doesn’t want to be tamed, so make sure you have plenty of stamina if you want to last long enough to calm him down. If you fail to tame him, don’t worry because he never strays far from this area.

Once you have the Golden Horse under control, ride it back to the stables to complete the quest. Not only will you get to keep the horse, which comes with great stats, but you’ll also get 50 rupees and a Royal Bride and Saddle.
