After a short opening sequence showing how each of the playable characters, called Assassins in dead Island 2, you end up on a crashed evacuation plane at the start of the game, you are forced to choose who to play with. If you hadn’t played the first game, and considering it came out over 10 years ago, we wouldn’t blame you if you hadn’t, then you might not be aware that your character choices are more than just cosmetic. Each of the six playable Slayers not only starts with their own distribution of stats from the others, but also two ability cards. Narrative-wise, almost nothing is different depending on who you choose, so this decision comes down to picking the right character for the way you want to play. Don’t let the excitement of bashing zombies’ heads in rush you into a decision, and first make sure you understand how important this choice is in dead island 2.
Can you change the characters in dead island 2?
This is the main reason why your character choice is so important. IN dead island 2, once you select the Killer, you are locked out for the duration of the game. If you want to try a different character, you’ll have to start the game over again, so unless you don’t mind undoing all your progress or want to repeat it a second time, think twice before making this decision, you’ve won. amy

Carla
Carla is in many ways the opposite of Amy. The resilience of her is the strongest feature of her, which reduces the damage of all elemental effects, and also has high toughness. Her Mosh Pit ability gives her a damage boost when she’s fighting multiple zombies at once, and Dig Deep increases her stamina when she’s low on health, making her quite an effective tank. Days
Dana’s poor health recovery is offset by her decent strength, but mostly her Bloodlust ability. If you go on a killing spree, she will get her health back as you kill her, making her a very aggressive Slayer. Thunderstruck contributes to this by adding burst to all of her strong attacks, which you will often do with her high resistance. Speaking of stats, here they are:

This might be the most complete character in the world. dead island 2. His stats are pretty balanced, with the exception of having the best max health and the lowest stamina. For innates, Feral allows Jacob to stack damage boosts when he lands multiple hits in a row, while critical gains boost any critical damage he takes while he’s low on stamina. It’s a great option if he wants a more “standard” gaming experience:

Ryan
Last but not least, we come to Ryan, the strongest of the six Slayers. He is best suited for players who want to go into battle with heavy weapons and swing without much fear of death. Retaliation helps him out by giving him a power boost after a block or dodge, which pairs perfectly with the seesaw that restores some health every time you take down a zombie.
