Added Denese: “Growing up, I never showed any interest in my father’s world of construction. I thought I would be a scientist when I was younger, but it didn’t work out.” He added: “One way my father has influenced my journey is how hard he works and that’s something that’s been instilled in me.”
As a result, Denese graduated from high school with a degree in fashion design and planned to work in that field until interior design caught her eye. She has worked in the fashion industry for many years and even built a reputation after studying fashion design during her studies. But soon after, she decided to explore other options and started working at a textile design company that specialized in luxury goods.
Denese began studying fabric manufacturing while working as a textile designer and gained a fundamental understanding of interior design. Along the way, she became fascinated with interior design and she knew that she had to learn more about it.

Denese married her husband, Mike Butler, on April 21, 2012, vocalizing, “Madly in love with this white man,” in front of her friends and family.
