When TVLine got an exclusive sneak peek of the April 4 episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star, we learned that things are not looking good for Marvin. Mateo, who is a firefighter at Station 126 located in Austin, Texas, is FaceTiming with Marvin as he introduces him to the team.
After some teasing from Mateo, Marvin turns serious and tells Mateo that this is not a social call. “Look, I’m not going to lie. “I’m in a bind,” says Marvin.
If you didn’t know, Marvin was in the second episode of the second season of 9-1-1 and things weren’t going well for him. He had just been arrested by Athena (Angela Bassett) and was in the back seat of her car when a massive earthquake hit Los Angeles. The duo were driving at the time and narrowly avoided a large opening in the road in front of them.
Athena stopped to help and learned that a man was trapped in his car, which was leaking gasoline. The car was on fire, but the extinguishers were not working. Fortunately, there was a cement truck nearby that was able to put out the fire. That’s where Marvin comes in handy because he’s a car thief who can put together anything. Athena removed the handcuffs and Marvin used his powers forever. However, helping someone in need doesn’t get you out of jail and handcuffed again.
Julian, who plays both uncle and cousin, is an actor, singer and songwriter. His acting credits include American Crime, The Ghosters, When We Rise, Love, The Affair, Into the Dark, and Titans, to name a few.
