Fabien Frankel is an Anglo-French-Iraqi actor who appeared in the HBO television series Ser Criston Cole. Although little is known about Frankel’s acting career, he has starred in episodes such as NYPD Blue, The Serpent, and An Uncandid Portrait. He also appeared in the 2019 romantic comedy Christmas Before. Criston Cole is the champion of the jousting in House of the Dragons, acting as a guide to meeting people and defining the setting.
Frankel revealed that Criston Cole’s character will appear in multiple episodes in an interview with TV Line. Frankel described the character as “brave” as he sought the favor of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen after defeating his uncle, Daemon Targaryen, in a joust.

In the world of blonde wigs, you have a dark haired guy with a different skin color than the others. So I believe there is a feeling of loneliness. As a result, he gains a certain amount of trust, which allows him to plead (for the princess’s favor).
Frankel mentioned Cole’s history as a commoner. He is from Dorne, a country where House Martell and House Lannisters have a strained relationship in the Game of Thrones series. The mention of Dorne is also reminiscent of one of the series’ most savage battles, between Oberyn Martell and Gregor Clegane, aka The Mountain. It is unclear how Frankel’s Ser Criston Cole will be sent to the Dragon House.
