Born Gregory Raymond Stevenson on 25 May 1964 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, he began his acting career in the late 1990s. With over 60 roles, Stevenson’s real breakthrough came with HBO/BBC series “Rome” (2005-2007). He created the character Tito Pul. His portrayal of a gruff but benevolent Roman soldier won critical acclaim and made him a gifted actor.
