Rio Raj (born 17 February 1989) is a well-known video jockey, actor and executive in the Tamil entertainment industry. Rio Raj was born and brought up in the city of Erode in Tamil Nadu in a middle class household. He is a devout Christian. His father works in a small company in Erode and his mother is a housewife. Rio has been close to his parents since he was little.
He completed his primary and secondary schooling from Boys Government Higher Secondary School in Erode, Tamil Nadu, before joining Guru Raghavendra Polytechnic College to pursue a degree in Computer Science Engineering. During his high school and undergraduate years, he worked as a presenter on several programs.
