Bake It ‘Til You Make It, a new Food Network series, will follow seven bakers as they negotiate careers at different stages of their lives. The program offers a different perspective by representing many individuals on their path to achievement. According to Discovery’s press release about the series:
“Bake It ‘Til You Make It, a new documentary series airing on the Food Network on Monday, December 26 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, offers an in-depth look at the world. quirky, competitive and passionate baking, unbelievably superior. -top figures take part.”

Sumera Syed from Dallas, Texas is one of the bakers that will feature in this episode. Sumera grew up in the UK in a Pakistani Indian family and is a self-taught baker who appeared on MasterChef UK 2014. Watch as she begins her journey on Bake It ‘Til You Make It in December 26 at 9 p.m. ET.

The future Bake It ‘Til You Make It star describes herself as “a bit crazy”, enthusiastic and bubbly. The self-taught baker learned to bake online and was initially more interested in cooking than baking. The Bake It ‘Til You Make It contestant told The Dallas Morning News that in Pakistan, every dessert will be made on the stove or deep fried.
She continued:
“We don’t bake in Pakistan.”
She added that it was only when her mother bought a cookbook with pictures and recipes of Western dishes that she began to wonder why they “don’t have such things”. The cast of Bake It ‘Til You Make It lived in England and grew up in a Muslim family before emigrating to Dallas, Texas. The first time she celebrated Thanksgiving or Christmas, she was 18. She has a series on her social media called “12 Days of Sumera the Baker’s Christmas Cookie Making”.
Sumera loved to make sweets with Persian flavors like saffron, pistachio, fennel and others.
Pekar talked about her time on the Food Network show, saying she’s met a lot of great people who “know their stuff.” On the other hand, Sumera said that she just came in with her cake. On the other hand, traveling with gifts was one of the difficulties she encountered during the process. She remembers being embarrassed at the airport about the different sweets and storing her fragile items in the overhead compartment of the plane.
She continued:
“I just hope no one starts banging on it when they put it in their box.”
Bake It ‘Til You Make It is a non-exclusive show, so every team member will always be with you. Monty Alderman, Lili Clinger, Maythe Del Angel, RaChelle Hubsmith, Anamaria Morales and Kareem Queeman are among those appearing on the Food Network show.
