Wipro chairman Rishad Premji encourages people to talk about mental health with hard-hitting cartoon

Wipro President Rishad Premji reached out to Xu to urge people to break the taboo around mental health issues and talk about it. His post was accompanied by a scathing cartoon showing what it would be like “if physical illnesses were treated like mental illnesses.”

“We should tirelessly break down barriers to talk about mental health with the same comfort we talk about our physical health. It’s ok to not be ok sometimes,” Premji wrote while sharing the creative.

The creative depicts two situations in which people experience physical pain or discomfort. However, the dialogues used in these situations point to the stigmas associated with mental illness.
