Woman caught putting hair in food to get free meal, her act caught on camera

In an attempt to get a free meal at a restaurant, a woman put her hair in the food and later complained to the owner. However, what she didn’t realize was that her act was caught on camera. The incident took place at an observatory in Blackburn, UK. The owner shared CCTV footage of the incident on Facebook as a ‘warning to other businesses’.

Tom Croft, the restaurant’s owner, had to refund a customer’s dinner after she caused a scene and claimed a hair was found in her food. Later, when Croft returned to check CCTV footage to make sure his staff’s hair was tied up, he discovered the woman had cunningly added the hair to the meal, Plymouth Live reports.

He then shared the CCTV footage on Facebook and wrote: “Warning to other businesses. This is not something we like to do, but this industry is tough enough without people like this sabotaging their own food to claim a refund on our account. Hopefully, this will save other establishments that are suffering because of these two offices. The video clearly shows her pulling hair from her own head and placing it on his plate, to complain and demand a refund.” (Also Read: ‘₹60 container charge excessive and unfair’: Zomato clarifies after woman raises concerns on Twitter)

At the end of the post, he asked others to be vigilant in such matters.

In the video he shared, a man and a woman can be seen on a table. As they engage in conversation, the woman quickly grabs a few strands of her hair and adds them to the half-empty plate in front of her.
