India secured victory against Afghanistan in their second World Cup match. The men in blue chased down the 272-run target set by Afghanistan and won by 8 wickets, thanks to killer Rohit Sharma. The Indian captain hit 131 runs off 84 balls, hitting 16 fours and five sixes. Virat Kohli scored a half-century to complete the winning runs. His partnership with Shreyas Iyer of 68 runs off 56 balls provided the second impetus that took India to victory. On the other hand Ishan Kishan hit five fours.

On the bowling front, Jasprit Bumrah was the star, taking four wickets in ten overs while conceding just 39 runs. Hardik Pandya claimed two wickets in seven overs while Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav claimed one wicket each.

Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, has so far played two matches in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023 and won both. With India starting their World Cup campaign on a high, it adds to the excitement for the upcoming game against Pakistan.
