Zoé Simpson and Alex Barcello began dating in high school. On May 28, 2021, Zoé revealed on her Instagram that Alex asked her to be her girlfriend after school on October 20, 2016. Alex and Zoé have been deeply in love ever since.
Alex made her IG debut on December 26, 2017, which is Zoé’s second IG post. Meanwhile, Alex, who has been on Instagram since 2016 but rarely posts to the platform, made her debut on Valentine’s Day 2021.

She wrote: “On October 20th Alexander Micheal asked me to be his girlfriend after school…and now 4 years and 7 months later on May 20th he asked me to be his wife💍I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you💕.”

She once dealt with emotional turmoil in 2019. She called her mom at work, and from her voice, her mom realized she was struggling. Over the next month, her life changed as she found purpose. Entering BYU changed everything for the better for him.
Alex then transferred to BYU for the 2019-2020 season. In February 2021, he scored a career-high 29 of his own and hit a program-high 7-for-7 3-pointer in a 79–73 win against the San Francisco Dons. Even his mother believes that Coach Pope groomed his son.
