A tweet from his account, in which he talked about his difficulties, went viral and caught the attention of Zomat. The food delivery giant used the tweet to create an inspirational poster and shared it on social media with the caption: “From the streets of the UK to cricket’s biggest stage, Paul van Meekeren has delivered a fairytale by making his cricket dream come true. “

The poster features a shot putter with the motivational message, “Dreamers never stop delivering.” The poster also features an old tweet from the cricketer, in which he said he was working as a delivery man to get through the winter months after the T20 World Cup was postponed to 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Should have been playing cricket today, now I’m delivering Uber Eats to survive the winter months!
